The most often used word to describe our place, usually uttered when people arrive, is “Wow!”

Cottage by the Sea has been described as having Wairua – a Maori word to describe a sense of spirit – spirit of the land, spirit of the water, spirit of the air.

Discover the spirit for yourself as you peel back the layers of your hectic lifestyle, wander on the secluded black sand beach or expansive lawns, lose yourself in the ever changing sea views, or find yourself in our tranquil sunken garden.

Cottage by the Sea – peacefulness and privacy in abundance, the perfect place to unwind, or spend that special weekend away.

Our Location

Situated on the Tasman Sea, our spectacular panoramic views are ever-changing. We are just off Highway 3, halfway between Auckland and Wellington – very convenient for travelers.
